REGISTRATION REQUIRED

The 5th European Civil Protection Forum will feature a two-day conference and an exhibition, under the central theme of 'Partnership and Innovation'.

The 'Partnership' theme focuses on strengthening cooperation between representatives of the European and UN institutions and authorities around the world, but also new partners, such as private companies, NGOs, academia, and scientific institutions.

The'Innovation'  theme is about new technologies (such as unmanned aerial systems, social media, security, smart cities), as well as the links with research and development, and innovative ways of engaging with communities and various organisations.

The European Civil Protection Forum is the largest recurring public event on European civil protection cooperation. It is organised every two years by the European Commission's Humanitarian Aid and Civil Protection department (ECHO).

The event brings together the European civil protection community to take stock of common achievements in the disaster risk management field, share best practices and ideas, and discuss ways of addressing new challenges together.

The Forum is an important tool for strengthening cooperation with international partners and the European neighbourhood.

EXHIBITION

The 'Partnership and Innovation' indoor and outdoor exhibition aims to put forward opportunities for partnership and cooperation between the civil protection community and the research and development communities.
